An under-estimated plant, with elegant whirls of clover leaves and then soft, velvet, feathers of flowers all through summer

- Sow under cover in spring or autumn. Seeds are tiny, sow thinly into trays and lightly cover with soil. Seal in a polythene bag until seeds germinate (2-4 weeks) then remove. Pot on and plant out after the frosts.

Cut back spent blooms after flowering to encourage a second flush.
