Nasturtiums are incredibly easy to grow and rewarding for gardeners of all levels of experience. They are especially fun when gardening with children—nasturtium seeds are large and easy for tiny hands to handle, plus they germinate quickly and produce spectacular cascading blooms. These flamboyant flowers also produce petals that are edible—delicious when added to salads, giving a peppery heat. Nasturtium plants will happily self-seed, too—giving you many more flowers for free.
