IT and system engineer - spalding, lincolnshire

ROLE OVERVIEW

We're looking for a hands-on Systems Engineer to support the growth and development of our nursery in Lincolnshire, maintaining and improving the existing infrastructure, supporting day-to-day site operations and taking a key role in scoping and implementing new systems to help the business thrive.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • ERP & Corvus ‘systems champion’ – training, administration and technical support 
  • IT Infrastructure Maintenance and Support (Printers, PCs, Tablets, Scanners etc.) 
  • All on site desktop support 
  • Training and Education of Systems 
  • Ongoing review and improvement of IT & Systems Processes 
  • IT Project Implementation  
  • Responsibility for maintenance of Cloud Infrastructure & Hosting 
  • Additional support to Marlborough site
  • Support with creating BI reports. 
  • Triage and Management of Ticket Desks (Internal and External) 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • IT Infrastructure Management 
  • Systems Management 
  • Complex ERP / Ecommerce Systems experience 
  • IT Training  
  • 1st / 2nd & 3rd line Support 
  • Vendor management 
  • Triage and Management of ticket desk  
  • Process Review, Monitoring and Documentation 
  • SQL Database, PowerBI and Data Analytics 
  • Hands on  
  • Independent / able to work as part of wider team  
  • System Administration experience 
  • Be a real team player

  • Real passion and drive for IT/ ecommerce and systems 
  • Ability to train out and support with knowledge

Working hours: 7.30am to 4pm, Monday to Friday

merchandise administrator - marlborough office

ROLE OVERVIEW

An exciting opportunity to start a career in merchandising, or a new opportunity for a candidate looking to learn the ropes and progress within merchandising. The candidate will be working closely with the garden kit and homewares merchandiser and would benefit from an interest in horticulture.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Assist the Merchandiser in delivering the key financial KPI’s for your department through effective planning and in-season trading, regularly analysing department performance to maximise commercial opportunities 
  • Build strong relationships with the buying team to ensure a commercial range is offered to the customer, feeding insight and analysis to Merchandising team
  • Collaborate with our partner departments (Merchandising, Buying, Operations, Customer Services), maintaining strong communication and a passion to makes things better together
  • Build a strong relationship with our distribution centres, working collaboratively to ensure we are delivering against customer expectations and service levels 
  • Work with nursery to ensure processes between both merch and nursery are optimised. Resulting in optimised growing, quality, delivery, and wastage control 
  • Developing and building strong relationships with suppliers to our mutual benefit 
  • Always be mindful of company objectives, with a view to delivering against the objectives at all times 
  • Maintain key regular departmental reports 
  • Providing data analysis and insights that can be shared with relevant teams to aid decision making and gain buy in for ideas. Support the senior members of the team with ad hoc reporting
  • Understand processes and tasks need to be covered when required with a sense of urgency
  • Strive to improve your knowledge base on Merchandising

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Strong maths skills
  • Experience in retail preferable, but not essential
  • Understanding of Microsoft office, specifically Excel
  • Strong communication skills
  • An analytical mind
  • Commercially aware
  • Process driven
  • Good time management
  • A can-do attitude
