Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Online Trading Manager with a commercial and analytical mindset to lead the performance of our online channel as we scale. This role is the commercial glue across ecommerce, trading, and CRM; accountable for revenue, conversion, AOV and overall site performance.
You will report to the Marketing Director, and work closely with:
- Head of Merchandising & Buying – product, range and stock
- Head of Brand – brand storytelling and content
- CRM Exec – day-to-day campaign delivery
- Technical Ecommerce Lead – site enhancements and development roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
Mission 1: Revenue Growth & Trading
- Own ecommerce KPIs: sales, conversion rate, AOV, active customer growth, retention
- Lead daily/weekly trading actions — promotions, merchandising, product positioning
- Align with Merchandising on stock, pricing and availability to maximise margin and sales
- Provide commercial insight on top and bottom performing products and ranges
Mission 2: Customer Experience & Website Optimisation
- Own the online customer journey: navigation, PDPs, imagery, content placement
- Lead CRO initiatives to improve conversion
- Manage the ecommerce development roadmap with eComerce technical lead and agency partners
- Ensure the site remains fast, reliable, and optimised for performance
Mission 3: CRM & Retention
- Oversee CRM performance, ensuring campaigns and flows deliver incremental revenue
- Guide the CRM Exec on segmentation, testing and reporting priorities
- Partner with the Marketing Director to align CRM activity with lifecycle goals
Mission 4: Commercial Leadership
- Monitor and report on ecommerce KPIs with actionable recommendations
- Partner with Finance and SLT on forecasting and budget planning
- Stay close to competitor activity and ecommerce trends to identify opportunities
About You
- 5+ years’ experience in ecommerce trading, ideally in a DTC retail brand (£10–30m turnover)
- Proven track record of driving revenue and owning ecommerce KPIs
- Analytical and data-driven, with strong commercial acumen
- Experience with CRO, A/B testing, and managing agency partners
- Knowledge of CRM platforms (Ometria, Klaviyo or similar) and ecommerce platforms (Bigcommerce, Shopify Plus desirable)
- Collaborative, hands-on, and comfortable working in a lean, ambitious team
