Scabious, also known as the pincushion flower, is a famously super long flowering and prolific cut flower producer, with an excellent vase life. It flowers for months, right through the summer, and butterflies and bees love its nectar. Sow your scabious seeds in the spring or try a late summer sowing - sowing scabious seeds in late August can give you bigger, more flowery plants in the following year as the roots will develop right through the autumn. Once in flower, keep picking and they will keep flowering. Browse our range of scabious seeds, we have a great range that can be grown individually or combined to great effect.
