Description

This is totally brilliant for providing year-round interest. Deep green and glossy foliage in summer with pretty clusters of creamy-white, scented flowers appearing at the end of the branches from late summer. Once the flowers fall, pinkish red calyxes remain, darkening to a rich reddish-purple. Then, in winter, the lighter coloured outer bark peels away to reveal a much darker colour underneath.

Care Tips

Plant in any moist, but well-drained soil in full sund or partial shade. Provide shelter from cold, exposed winds.
