Description

I love this penstemon as much for it’s foliage and dark, rich-coloured stems, as I do for its flowers. We use this as a foliage plant in our pots and front of border combinations, snipping the flowers off regularly to keep the plants looking pristine and gorgeous and the leaves dark and glossy all summer and autumn.

Care Tips

Leave the current seasons growth on over winter to provide protection and mulch around the base of the plant in autumn with compost or leaf mould. Cut back old growth in late spring as new shoots are appearing.
