Traditional Japanese lopping shears with strong, forged blades and stout oak handles. They are a joy to use, just the very pleasing action of properly forged carbon steel at work. Suitable for branches up to 2.5cm/1", although as some species are harder than others this is only a guide. Cut bigger branches at a 45˚angle.

Do not use to cut wire, metal, stone or very hard woods. Do not twist or apply uneven pressure. Cutting diagonally across stems and branches is easier than cutting straight across. Keep blades clean and sharp - remove leaf resin, rust and gunk after each use. Dry thoroughly before putting them away.
