Description
Ideal for moist and shady spots, this dicentra displays silvery-green fern-like foliage and stems carrying nodding panicles of pure white, heart-shaped flowers in spring and early summer. It will go dormant in summer, so interplant with other shade-loving plants such as hostas, anemones, euphorbia, and Solomon's Seal.
Care Tips
Bleeding hearts will thrive in humus-rich soil in partial shade. They will die back after flowering during mid summer dormancy, but don't worry it will be back the following spring. Mulch in autumn.
