Chicory 'Rossa di Treviso Precoce'
- Loved by Pollinators
This red chicory is extremely hardy and can be grown for eating straight out of the garden or for a less bitter taste for forcing in the dark inside
I am mad keen on chicory. They are incredibly hardy, totally invaluable plants for the winter vegetable patch and not nearly widely enough grown in Britain. I like chicory raw in a mixed leaf salad but it's even better cooked when the leaves lose their bitterness.
Please note, illustrated packets are being introduced gradually over the coming months, availability may vary.
