More Details

A new narcissus discovery last year recommended to me by my Dutch bulb friend expert, Carien Van Boxtel. She has introduced me to more exciting and unusual bulbs than anyone. Come to her bulbs for naturalising course at Perch Hill on 23rd September.

This can be gift wrapped in our exclusive hessian sack, with ribbon and a Sarah Raven gift card. You will be able to add this to your basket once you begin the checkout process. To add a gift message to your order, simply fill out the details at the delivery stage of the checkout.

Please note: only items which are showing ‘in stock’ can be gift wrapped.

Soil Type Broad Tolerance

Moisture Moist but Well-drained
Height 45cm (18in)
Sowing, Seeds, Planting Plant pointy end up, 10-15cm (4-6in) inches deep with three to four inches (8-10cm) between each bulb. Plant anytime from August-November. They are very tolerant bulbs.
Care Tips Dead head flowers and remove faded foliage during mid summer. Allow the leaves to die-back after flowering
Flowering March - April
Vase Life Narcissi make great cut flowers lasting up to a week in the vase. I love them jumbled up in large jugs on the table. Be careful mixing with other flower types as their stems give off a compound that is toxic to other flowers. Leave their stems in warm water for an hour before arranging, to stop the 'goo' from running out.
