Description
Getting a good succession of flowers in a shady corner or the north side of a building is never easy, but this more than fits the bill. Months and months of lovely illuminating white flowers which we grow all down the shady side of the school at Perch Hill.
This collection contains:
- 3 or 6 x 9cm pots each of Anemone x hybrida 'Honorine Jobert'
- 3 or 14 x 9cm pots each of Digitalis purpurea f.albiflora
- 3 or 5 x 9cm pots each of Acanthus mollis 'Rue Ledan' (Latifolius Group)
Autumn is the perfect season for planting out biennials, perennials, shrubs, and climbers. Soils retain some warmth from summer and moisture levels are on the rise thanks to the autumn rains. These conditions are ideal for quick and early root establishment ensuring plants settle in before winter arrives. They will then be off to a flying start next spring with rapid growth and copious amounts of flowers.
Care Tips
The Foxgloves will self seed freely but some will revert to the wild colour form. Pull out any seedlings with red stems if you want them to remain pure white. May need staking. Caution: All parts of the plant are highly toxic if ingested.
