Cultivation
Sow from late April under cover in single pots or modules to minimise root disturbance. Plant out in late May or June, in blocks, not rows, with plants 45cm apart. Sow direct from May, 1-2 seeds per position, removing the weaker if both grow.

Description

I grow this excellent, tried and tested, mid-season 'super sweet' variety with a good yield of long, uniform cobs.

It's also a very ornamental plant, which looks good with tall, luscious, grass-like leaves, in any part of the garden.

Direct sow Cobra beans at the base of your sweetcorn plants and you will double your production from the same space.

Care Tips

Prefers a sunny, sheltered position with well-drained soil. Keep well-watered during hot, dry spells. Tall varieties or those planted in exposed sites may requite staking.
