Plant in moist but well-drained soil in a sunny, sheltered spot. Sprinkle mycorrhizal fungi (Rootgrow) into the base of the planting hole.

Velvet gloves in sapphire and ruby all through summer and - remarkably - just as beautiful in October as they are in July. A winner pairing.

Care Tips

Protect young plants from frost and plant in a sunny, free-draining spot. Do not prune back in winter, keep current years growth and remove when new shoots appear. Mulch annually.
