Description
I’ve gone back to growing this absolute classic white garden rose after seeing how often a great friend has been picking large armfuls of these roses. She grows it in a small yard garden and says it never stops flowering, seemingly loving a regular hack!
All rose petals are edible. As you might expect, they have a mild, floral taste and can be used to decorate cakes, puddings or baking. They are also a beautiful, scented addition to jugs of iced cordial or summer cocktails.
Care Tips
Before planting bare root roses, soak roots in a bucket of water for at least 2 hours. Dig a hole that will accommodate the root ball comfortably and, to aid establishment, sprinkle mycorrhizal fungi (Rootgrow) into the base before planting.
