- Plant the small, unusual tubers known as claws 5cm (2in) deep and 10cm (4in) apart, 'eyes' up and claws facing down. Grow in a sheltered position and protect from strong and cold winds.
Care Tips
Plant them straight away into a larger pot to grow-on in a glasshouse until the danger of frost has passed. They can be planted directly into the ground in warmer areas of the country, but we would advise using a cloche for overnight protection.
