Description
I love bulbs in grass — an optimistic, cheering sight, a create-your-own-Alpine-meadow for spring. Use crocus, species tulips and mini daffs when the grass is short in March and April (see Spice up Your Grass Collection) and once it has grown long, you’ll need the long-stemmed camassias and late-flowering, powerfully perfumed Narcissus recurvus. They’re the best things and will gradually spread into a tapestry of colour and flowers.
This collection contains:
- 20 or 40 bulbs of Narcissus poeticus var. recurvus ('Old Pheasant's Eye')
- 10 or 20 bulbs of Camassia leichtlinii subsp. suksdorfii Caerulea Group
- 10 or 20 bulbs of Camassia quamash
Care Tips
Bulbs will form clumps and gradually spread so plant somewhere it can naturalise happily. Mulch well in autumn, as this will need good frost protection.
