Description

One of my favourite plants, the bleeding heart with the clanger of the bell, a beautiful contrast to its outer petals. Sear the stem end in boiling water for ten seconds and these make the most delicate, ethereal and beautiful cut flower.

Care Tips

Bleeding hearts will thrive in humus-rich soil in partial shade. They will die back after flowering during mid summer dormancy, but don't worry it will be back the following spring. Mulch in autumn.
