Cultivation
Plant the corms 10cm apart and 10-15cm deep in clumps or lines. For containers, you can pack them in more closely. Plant a few every couple of weeks to give a succession of flowers through the summer and autumn.

Gladiolus 'Sancerre' is our favourite creamy white gladioli, with throats the colour of the classic white wine. This white gladioli is beautiful arranged on its own in any vase.

These are best planted outside from mid-April or in pots from early March, if kept frost free.

The petals are edible, they have a very mild flavour and can be used to decorate puddings and cakes

Care Tips

Water regularly during growing season and stake tall varieties. If you're growing in containers, stop watering at the end of summer and bring the pots indoors for the winter. Leave them in their pots or take them out and dry.
