Plant in well-drained soil in a sunny, sheltered spot. Sprinkle mycorrhizal fungi (Rootgrow) into the base of the planting hole.

Description

I like the airy cloud-forming spires of gaura, drought tolerant and long-flowering, they’re ideal for pots. We trialled some newly bred ones last summer, comparing them to the traditional ‘The Bride’. It was equalled in prettiness and length of performance by these two new lovelies.

This collection contains 1 x 2 litre pot each of:
  • Gaura lindheimeri 'Sparkle White'
  • Gaura lindheimeri 'The Bride'

Care Tips

Gauras are easy as long as you remember that they are prairie plants from a warm place, mulching helps to protect from severe winters. Mature gauras do not move well. The dark spots that appear on their narrow leaves are normal.
