Sunglasses on! A clash yes, but a splendid one to be the talk of the neighbourhood. This gerbera (now called a Garvinea) is covered in zesty Catherine-wheels from the end of the frosts in May until the real cold starts again in winter. And they have a vase life of 7-10 days.

Care Tips

Deadhead to prolong the flowering period. These will work well in a container pot in a sunny position. Water well in the first two weeks, to prevent the plant from drying out. Apply liquid fertiliser fortnightly to improve performance.
