Garlic 'Arno' is a strongly flavoured old continental type, known as a “French soft neck” garlic variety that can be sown in autumn or spring for summer harvest

Their plump, pure white skinned bulbs and pinkish cloves have a mild aroma and have shown to have good storage capability too.

Plant autumn or early spring. Split the bulb into cloves and plant them Individually, upright, with the flat base down and pushed into the soil to twice their own depth, spaced at intervals of 15cm. Can be grown in containers if kept watered.

Care Tips

Keep the area weed-free until the foliage begins to turn yellow in mid summer when it is ready to lift, dry in the sun and then harvest.
