Description

A deliciously scented ground cover plant which will spread naturally underground, and is well suited to shady or woodland areas. Bees love the small clusters of star-like white flowers.

The dried leaves of Galium odoratum can be used in syrups, jellies, teas and for flavouring milk based drinks and dishes with a vanilla and almond-like flavour. The flowers, harvested fresh, are sweet tasting and can be used for garnishes.

You can use the flowers as an edible garnish on salads.

Care Tips

A wonderful ground cover plant for a shady area, it will spread quickly, so don’t be afraid to annually dig up clumps to keep it in check.
