Description
A wonderful courgette with distinctive ribbed stems. It has excellent flavour and texture, never turning watery, even when quite large.
Pick it small and whole, and the flavour is reminiscent of globe artichoke hearts. Its flowers are huge too - ideal for stuffing and dipping into tempura batter.
Do at least two sowings of courgettes, splitting your packets, so that you have fruit to pick for 3-4 months at a stretch. Sow two or three different colours so they look good in the garden and on the plate.
Please note, illustrated packets are being introduced gradually over the coming months, availability may vary.
Care Tips
Water regularly and feed with tomato feed. Powdery mildew can be a problem during hot, dry spells, the only remedy is to keep the soil moist.
