Ceratophyllum demersum (Hornwort)

Description

A brilliant plant for keeping water both fresh and healthy, Ceratophyllum demersum or ‘Hornwort’ produces strong branches which are awash with whorls of dark green feathery foliage. It is also brilliant for pondlife, providing essential shelter for newts.

Care Tips

Supplied as weighted bunches – simply drop into the water and allow to sink to the bottom of the pond. It doesn’t root, so is easy to control. Allow it to fill about one third of the pond – any excess can be removed and added to the compost heap
