Description

With stand-out, yet delicate markings and an elegant, fine shape, ‘Giraffe’ wins hands down for me ahead of the more usual, chunky varieties of amaryllis one so often sees. Plant early (in October) for Christmas flowering or wait a little to have in flower for spring.

Care Tips

A tender bulb from Brazil which need to be grown inside in a bright, warm, sunny place. To make them last a second year, feed and water until the leaves die back and then allow to dry out and go dormant for about 8 weeks.
