Description
The darkest, richest agapanthus from the ones we’ve trialled, with perfect for cutting tall flower stalks and rounded umbels of narrow, purple, funnel-shaped flowers from mid-summer until early autumn. The decorative seed heads can be left on the plant over winter or used for decoration indoors. Brilliant for structure in any border or container and is particularly useful in coastal situations.
Care Tips
Agapanthus grow best in full sun. May take 2-3 years to establish but after this they will grow into long-flowering clumps. Ideal for container growing as restricting roots promotes flowering and pots can be moved to sheltered places for winter.
