Flowering August - September
Vase Life When cutting, leave enough stem and foliage for photosynthesis and food storage. Strip anthers from the stamens to prevent sticky pollen.

Disappointing

Colour not bright like the photo, more of a soft corally pink. Growing well but a bit of a disappointment

not as good as the picture

bought these last year and they flowered. I put them in pots and stood the pots of tree stumps but the flowers pointed at the ground. They were mat dull pink, interesting, unusual but with none of the 'glow' in the photo, which I thought added a tinge of gold. Guess I'll put them in a bed and stake them. Loved the previous reviewers idea for underplanting with heuchera.

Colourful and pretty

I bought some bulbs slightly late on in the sale and started them off in a pot under cover. They are flowering well, although shorter than I expected (about 2'). They are very pretty and I like the colour, although there are less golden tones than in the picture (but maybe I just can't see it because the flowers are low down). I have it planted near Heuchera Georgia Peach and the colour of these lilies is picked up perfectly in the Heuchera foliage. I also have sedum planted in between and the pale green of the flowers in bud set both off beautifully. I've only knocked a star off because the height and colour aren't quite what I expected.

Reply from the Sarah Raven Team:

"Thank you Catherine for your review. That sounds like such a beautiful combination to have in your borders. We are so pleased that you're happy with the variety overall. This lily does usually flower to almost 1.5metres tall, so it could simply be that the bulb is not happy with this year's weather, or perhaps it needs time to settle into it's growing position and condition. You may find that it grows taller next year, especially if they were planted slightly later in the season this year."
