I have rated this with 2 stars, as disappointingly, these bulbs have failed to flower. they have produced spectacular foliage, which became a huge tease as I waited, in vain for the beautiful pineapple like flower spikes to arrive. Reply from the Sarah Raven Team:"Thank you for your review . We would normally expect eucomis to flower in late summer into the autumn. This year they were very late to start in to growth following the cold spring, so it may be that if we have a mild autumn yours will still flower. Next summer it may help to start them over undercover before putting them outside and also giving them a regular feed during the growing season." Posted 7th November 2018 |

The service was excellent and the bulbs appeared to be in good condition, but they have not flowered! The leaves are handsome and I shall leave them in the ground and hope for better things next year. Reply from the Sarah Raven Team:"Thank you for your review. Eucomis do best planted deeply in a sunny spot in well prepared soil or in pots. So they should be fine left in your container. We would recommend giving them a feed when they start back in to growth next spring and keeping them well watered in the summer." Posted 7th November 2018 |
