Production Manager

An exciting opportunity to join a well-established and rapidly growing business. Sarah Raven’s Kitchen & Garden is an award-winning online gardening business, which offers carefully tried and tested plants, seeds, bulbs and gardening kit as well as lovely things for your home, all personally selected by Sarah Raven, the well known author and broadcaster.

We are looking for a full time Production Manager based at our offices in Marlborough.

ROLE OVERVIEW

 To coordinate the production of all digital and print content, coordinating across all internal functions and external resource, to ensure streamlined, timely and well managed delivery. Such content will include (but not limited to), web pages, web copy, web articles, digital and print advertising, photography, catalogue.

Reporting to: Head of Content and Creative

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling
    • Produce all critical paths, coordinating with all internal and external stakeholders, to ensure timings are optimised and deliverable. Internal stakeholders will include buying, merchandising, marketing, and the directors, external stakeholders will include copywriters, designers, artworkers, photographers, stylists and videographers.
    • Ensure critical paths are distributed to all parties, updated where necessary and adhered to.
    • Monitor processes and suggest changes to improve effective work flow as required.
  • Traffic management
    • Manage the work flow of all production, ensuring all parties deliver against the critical path.  
    • Ensuring all amends are actioned across all artwork.
    • Responsible for creative briefs, that they are delivered on time and to an excellent standard. Have ultimate responsibility for ensuring that all work is delivered on time and in line with the schedule.
  • Photography
    • Coordinate all hardware photography shoots, including venue hire, stylist booking, coordinating with photographer and managing the shoot on the day.
    • Work with photographers and the team to ensure all images have been requested and invoiced for correctly.
  • Videography
    • Coordinate the filming and editing of all video content.
  • Asset management
    • Ensure all content assets are effectively managed and easily accessible. In the future this is likely to be through a PIM and DAM application. Be an integral part of the project team introducing the  PIM and a DAM, ensuring all company needs are met in this area.

Skills and experience:

  • Proven project management skills
  • Experience of catalogue / brochure production

Customer Service Adviser

Marlborough Office

Due to continued company expansion, we are looking for a customer service adviser to join our team. Sarah Raven’s Kitchen & Garden is an award-winning online gardening business, which offers carefully tried and tested plants, seeds, bulbs and gardening kit as well as lovely things for your home, all personally selected by Sarah Raven, the well-known author and broadcaster.

Your role would be to deal with queries from our customers regarding their orders, deliveries, or just general advice.

This role is 37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday 9am-5pm

The role:

  • Delivering great customer service to our customers
  • Handling contacts across telephone, email and live chat
  • Using our Elucid system to place orders and answer queries
  • Being familiar with our products and our seasonal ranges

Accounts Assistant

Reporting to: Financial Controller

Sarah Raven’s Kitchen & Garden is an award-winning online gardening business, which offers carefully tried and tested plants, seeds, bulbs and gardening kit as well as lovely things for your home, all personally selected by Sarah Raven, the well-known author and broadcaster.

 ROLE OVERVIEW

 The company has undergone a period of significant growth and as a result is bringing the finance function in-house. The Accounts Assistant will support the Financial Controller with the day-to-day operations as they look to build a best-in-class internal finance function. The successful candidate will possess exceptional organisational and time management skills, and have experience working successfully in a fast-growth environment. This role is a full-time position.

 Day-to-day responsibilities will include co-ordinating the invoice approval process, processing supplier invoices and weekly payment runs, preparation of monthly accruals and prepayments, assisting with the management accounts, maintaining key balance sheet reconciliations and preparing payroll submissions.

Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and strong attention to detail. Applicants with experience and familiarity in a similar role are strongly encouraged to apply.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supplier Invoice Approval Process
    • Coordinating the approval of invoices from the appropriate individuals within the business
    • Assist in managing the supplier database (credit limits, new supplier setup)
    • Assist the FC in rolling out automation of the process and providing support to users
  • Treasury
    • Preparation of weekly supplier payments for approval
    • Managing aged creditors
  • Supplier Invoices
    • Assist the 3rd party accountants in the weekly upload of approved invoices to Sage
  • Payroll
    • Prepare the master data to be sent to 3rd party accountants for monthly payroll processing
    • Establish a series of checks before payroll is submitted for payment
    • Prepare payment file
  • Management Accounts
    • Assist the FC in pulling the monthly management accounts pack
    • Ensure the company adheres to the monthly timetable
    • Reviewing GL codes for misallocations and correcting appropriately
    • Ensuring significant variances and queries are followed up with the business
  • Preparation of accruals and prepayments
    • Required for significant variable costs and overheads
    • Establish and maintain high quality records and documentation
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations
    • Preparation and maintenance of high quality, detailed documentation
  • VAT
    • Assist with VAT and import VAT queries

 

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Assist the FC in establishing robust accounting processes and controls and utilising opportunities for automation
  • Help prepare the company for its first audit

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Proficient with Sage and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
  • Strong experience in this type of role expected
  • Part (or fully) qualified accounting qualification
  • Outstanding organisational skills
  • Highly analytical, excellent attention to detail
  • A strong understanding of accounting principles
  • Friendly, flexible, adaptable team player
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy
  • Problem solver, and ability to build up processes from scratch
  • Experience working in Retail or Ecommerce desirable
