ROLE OVERVIEW
Provide accurate and efficient administrative support for the buying team in the delivery of our authoritative and distinctive product ranges.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide support to the team for range planning (competitor analysis, data entry for sales analysis)
- Set up and complete Buying Sheets each season, ensuring all product, pricing and supplier details are correct
- Sample management for selection / photography
- Support in the web set up process each season and day-to-day website checking
- Assist with queries on product from Customer Services
- Check invoices
- Check artwork for accurate sku and price details
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Proficient in Excel and Powerpoint
- A good communicator
- Well-organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
- Exhibit positive behaviours and a can-do attitude
- A willingness to expand your knowledge base, seek out new ways to improve
- Good commercial and brand awareness
- Ability to work to a critical path in a busy environment
- A love of gardening would be an advantage

growing team coordinator
Rookery Farm Nursery, Spalding
ROLE OVERVIEW
This is primarily an admin role within our nursery growing team. Full training will be given.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for maintaining accurate records for plant quantities in production/stock and locations
- Data inputting onto excel spreadsheets and our in-house system (Corvus)
- Label production for the team members
- Completing and updating job cards for various members of the growing team under the direction of the Production and Growing Managers. These are for sowing, transplanting, potting and plant movement requirements
- To become a key point of contact between the Rookery Farm Growing team and Head Office Merchandising/Buying teams for all daily queries, issues and problems
- Participation in weekly meetings at Rookery Farm and Head Office
- Support the Production and Growing Managers where necessary with other work – to include QC checks, Stock checking and Inventory counting
- Implementing and improving processes where possible
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Attention to detail
- Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork
- Clerical, word processing and/or office skills - especially with excel/word
- Ability to maintain and update spreadsheets/in house systems on a daily basis
- Team player and a ‘happy to help’ & ‘can-do’ attitude
- Ability to demonstrate problem solving skills
- Flexibility to work and support all areas and tasks at Rookery Farm
- Good communicator in written and spoken English

skilled operative - plant care coordinator
Rookery Farm Nursery, Spalding
ROLE OVERVIEW
The primary responsibility is to coordinate and execute pesticide applications in a safe and effective manner. This role will handle & operate complex equipment as well as managing several elements of the application process. For the right candidate – Full industry training will be provided. PA1 and PA6 certificates preferable.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Mix or apply pesticides, herbicides & fungicides through sprays & drenches – under the direction of the growing manager
- Cover areas to specified depths with pesticides, applying knowledge of weather conditions
- Fill sprayer tanks with water and chemicals, according to formulas – following the clear instruction of the growing manager
- Using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to use machines or processes
- Safely use agricultural/horticultural equipment and vehicles
- Maintain work area, chemical storage area, and equipment in a condition that promotes good safety practices and is compliant with CDPR
- Use and keep all personal protection equipment (PPE) recommended for each work situation.
- Responsible for inventory control and record keeping
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources
- Plant care and watering requirements throughout the year – inside glasshouses and polytunnels & outside areas
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Physically fit
- Understanding of work-based instructions
- Able to prove problem solving skills
- The ability to listen to and understand information through spoken words and reading
- Controlling operations of equipment or systems
- Equipment Selection -- Using the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job
- Performing physical activities
- Due to the nature of the business, there will be other duties involved

SHIFT PATTERN
- Day shift – Sunday – Thursday – (can be discussed)
- Full time – Summer/ Winter shift
