Merchandiser

Marlborough Office

We are looking for a full time Merchandiser to work in our horticulture team, based at our offices in Marlborough.

The role would be ideal for someone who is highly numerate with a strong analytical skillset, demonstrable problem solving and creative thinking abilities as well as strong communication skills. This may suit someone who is currently at Junior level and ready to step up.

The role:

  • Liaising with our nursery and our office team to ensure a smooth despatch season
  • Managing stock levels through accurate forecasting and promotional activity
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Working with buyers to suggest, source and confirm additional stock to maintain availability
  • Ensuring data integrity in both our planning spreadsheets and stock keeping systems
  • Building strong and productive relationships with suppliers

What you need to be successful:

  • Several years of merchandising experience within a horticultural setting
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Be highly analytical with advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Commercially aware and proactive
  • Able to produce high quality work independently
  • Horticultural knowledge would be beneficial, but not essential

Senior Merchandiser

Marlborough Office

We are looking for a full time Senior Merchandiser to work in our horticulture team, based at our offices in Marlborough.

The role would be ideal for someone who has experience of fulfilling a leadership role within a strong merchandising background. You will be highly numerate with a strong analytical skillset, demonstrable problem solving and creative thinking abilities as well as strong communication skills.

The role:

  • Leading a team of merchandisers to achieve strong availability and accurate forecasting
  • Liaising with our nursery and our office team to ensure a smooth despatch season

Operations and 3PL Manager

Marlborough Office, with monthly travel to 3PLs

An exciting opportunity to join a well established and rapidly growing business. Working directly with the COO you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our 3PLs, establishing & ensuring SLA’s are met, with a view to providing our customers with first class service. Focusing on how the operations needs to expand to support our aggressive growth plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day to day management of all 3PLs, with monthly visits to both sites
    • Ensuring appropriate SLA’s are being met
    • Monitor and updating 3PLs forecasts
    • Responsible for customer service 3PL queries
    • Checking of invoices and comparing to budget
    • Develop, implement and maintain standard operating procedures
  • Packaging management
  • Carrier management
  • Working across teams to improve business processes
  • Involvement in system changes and testing.
  • Working with our suppliers to improve supply chain for imports in light of Brexit changes
  • Look for opportunities to export into the EU following Brexit changes.
  • Support the COO 

Skills and experience:

  • Three years experience in a management / operations role preferably within 3PL/ supply chain / warehouse operations
  • Ability to travel several times a month
  • Ability maintain alignment between daily operations and overall strategic direction
  • Data driven with good Excel skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication, and the ability to build trust and consensus amongst a team
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial work environment, with a flexible approach
  • Ability to work well in teams and good communication skills
  • Experience of complex IT systems
  • Track record of financial control

Production Manager

ROLE OVERVIEW

 To coordinate the production of all digital and print content, coordinating across all internal functions and external resource, to ensure streamlined, timely and well managed delivery. Such content will include (but not limited to), web pages, web copy, web articles, digital and print advertising, photography, catalogue.

Reporting to: Head of Content and Creative

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling
    • Produce all critical paths, coordinating with all internal and external stakeholders, to ensure timings are optimised and deliverable. Internal stakeholders will include buying, merchandising, marketing, and the directors, external stakeholders will include copywriters, designers, artworkers, photographers, stylists and videographers.
    • Ensure critical paths are distributed to all parties, updated where necessary and adhered to.
    • Monitor processes and suggest changes to improve effective work flow as required.
  • Traffic management
    • Manage the work flow of all production, ensuring all parties deliver against the critical path.  
    • Ensuring all amends are actioned across all artwork.
    • Responsible for creative briefs, that they are delivered on time and to an excellent standard. Have ultimate responsibility for ensuring that all work is delivered on time and in line with the schedule.
  • Photography
    • Coordinate all hardware photography shoots, including venue hire, stylist booking, coordinating with photographer and managing the shoot on the day.
    • Work with photographers and the team to ensure all images have been requested and invoiced for correctly.
  • Videography
    • Coordinate the filming and editing of all video content.
  • Asset management
    • Ensure all content assets are effectively managed and easily accessible. In the future this is likely to be through a PIM and DAM application. Be an integral part of the project team introducing the  PIM and a DAM, ensuring all company needs are met in this area.

  • Experience of catalogue / brochure production

Head of Content and Creative

ROLE OVERVIEW

Channeling Sarah’s voice you tell the Sarah Raven brand story, leading the content strategy that inspires existing customers and intrigues new ones. You ensure optimal presentation of messages, through catalogue, video, search-optimised editorial or social how-to. You conceptualise storytelling ideas to leverage brand awareness, add commercial value and reinforce brand positioning. You  will lead the Creative Marketing Team and collaborate with all to deliver best in class creative that drives awareness, engagement and conversion.

Reporting to: CEO

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering creative assets that will drive and support the commercial ambitions of the business
  • Develop and articulate the brand’s voice by narrating our story across all touchpoints. Ensure the written word conveys brand obsessions and passions, nudges conversion and enhances creative assets.
  • Devise and implement the end-to-end content strategy, ensuring the CRM programme is enriched with meaningful content.
  • Lead all brand comms. Manage the design team, and freelance copy writing resource in producing pitch-perfect comms across print, digital and social.
  • Drive organic search visibility through creation of optimised content. Working with the digital team to elevate SR to the top of Google’s organic search listings.
  • Lead social strategy. Manage SR’s social media accounts, ensuring engaging content is published with the appropriate frequency for existing followers, and generating creative to attract new customers. 
  • Build our global influencer network, nurturing relationships with key influencers + brand ambassadors.
  • Production management Oversee the production manager, to ensure that all design and content creation is managed efficiently through well produced critical paths and rigorous traffic management

Skills and experience:

  • 5+ years of proven experience creating content
  • Ability to think creatively about requirement and deliver high brand standards
  • Experience and confidence working on digital platforms
  • Experience writing copy to a brand's tone of voice
  • Experience in leading and managing a growing creative team
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross functions
  • Highly collaborative
  • Detail orientated and highly-organised with the ability to manage multiple projects at once

IT Manager

ROLE OVERVIEW

This newly created position is an amazing opportunity for the successful IT Manager to be a force for change. You will be integral in managing the company's infrastructure and recommending & managing change. You will look to improve the company’s security as well as conduct staff training to guard against data leaks. You will also work with our 3rd parties understanding their ERP, website etc manage change projects and carry out testing. It will suit an experienced IT Manager who thrives improving systems and processes. This is a standalone role so needs to be happy being hands on as well as strategic.

Reporting to: COO

Key Responsibilities:

The objective of the IT Manager is to spearhead IT developments for the company in line with the strategic goals building resilience for a rapidly growing business and help achieve competitive advantage through the implementation and improvement of technology.

Duties to include but not limited to:

  • Encompass aspects of architectural design, development, maintenance, testing, fixing, support, secure and redesign of both software and hardware IT infrastructure
  • Understanding 3rd party systems and integration of different business processes with our website, ERP.  Working cross teams to drive system improvements & to ensure adequate testing has been performed on all developments
  • Maintenance and performance analysis
  • Cyber security and training of staff on best practices to help avoid data leaks or fraudulent activities
  • Maintain good overall health of the organisation’s IT infrastructure and will be at the front of IT innovation in line with business goals.
  • Support other departments streamline their processes & involvement in finding new system solutions
  • Responsibility for budget and cost effectiveness
  • 1st line support to all users

Skills and experience:

  • Have managed IT within a business for at least 3+ years
  • Have successfully upgraded and implemented new systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite including office 365
  • Networking experience
  • Hands on approach
  • Flexible approach and adaptable to the needs of the business
