More Details

Pepper 'Marconi Rosso' (organic) is a so called red-horn pepper. It is large, sweet and prolific and for all these reasons one of the very few red peppers I grow. For most, the balance between the TLC required and the amount they produce is not in the pepper's favour, but that's not so with this productive and tasty kind.

The web-site was clear and informative about sowing the seeds and what to expect, the seeds arrived in good time and were well-packaged. However, they failed to germinate - I suspect that this may have been due to some old compost I used, so will be trying again next year,or if I can find some, buying seedlings (Sarah Raven doesn't sell them)

Delivery of seeds was very good and quick. My issue with the plants is the excessive packing you use, way over the top and far too much single use plastic.

Growing well, lets hope they ripen

I thought I'd try growing these as I've had success with chilli plants before. Plants are quite small but have a good crop of really healthy looking fruits, not quite as long as in the picture. Currently all still green so I'm hoping they will ripen as I can't eat green peppers, they make me ill!! Funnily enough this year the chillis have been rather disappointing.
