Description
The most ornamental of all beetroots, with spectacular crimson-veined leaves. We use this as a filler with tulips in pots and borders for our parterre in spring. We eat the leaves like spinach, using the baby leaves in salad and steaming the fully grown for wilted greens and we harvest the roots too. A hugely useful, multipurpose ornamental and edible plant.
Please note, illustrated packets are being introduced gradually over the coming months, availability may vary.
Care Tips
Don't water unless soil is very parched, over-watering encourages leaf at the expense of root. Fantastic planted with chamomile, onions and lettuce.
