Cultivation: Sow under cover March, or direct sow April-July. You can speed the germination process up by sowing into a length of guttering under cover and transplanting outside.

An easy-to-grow annual herb with the taste of thyme but much more prolific. Use as a companion plant against black fly on broad beans.

Savory and broad or runner beans taste delicious together too, just the beans, a clove of garlic, plenty of summer savory and a dash of cream.

Add a few small branches to help provide support. This has beautiful flowers in the summer months. This grows well in container pots.
