Delicious, nutty taste like chestnuts. It did really well in our trial, producing tons of little potatoes with firm waxy flesh which does not disintegrate. Steam in skin and eat hot or cold.

Maincrops are planted between March and May with harvesting through August and September and they can be stored in the right conditions through the winter. From planting to harvest is about 5 months.

Spacing Plant tubers 40cm (16in) apart with 45cm (18in) between rows.
Sowing, Seeds, Planting Chitting February-March, planting April-May.
Care Tips When the shoots first appear draw the earth from between the rows to cover them. This encourages underground shoots and more tubers. Add in lots of well rotted manure the previous autumn (not too fresh).

I have no complaint about the promptness of delivery, and the quality of the packaging. However, apart from the seeds selected for chitting, which were of an acceptable size, the remainder, about 8 were only of about quails egg size, and didn't look likely to produce growth.
Growth and harvest for the larger seeds was good.
