More Details

Chamomile tea is one of the greatest nightcaps, comforting and sleep-inducing. I’ve loved growing my own. This variety is prolific in its flower production and tastes delicious and strong, so you won’t need many flower heads for your evening mug of tea.

Sowing, Seeds, Planting Sow undercover April-June or August-October in seed trays, do not cover seed just press gently into the surface of moist compost. Place somewhere bright and warm, seedlings should appear within two weeks. Transplant seedlings into individual pots when large enough to handle. Gradually acclimatise to outdoor temperatures before planting out in well drained soil. Water well after planting.
Care Tips Roman chamomile is resistant to drought and will survive for some time without water. Harvest flowers regularly to encourage the formation of more.
