A subtle beauty, washed with silver on the outside and apricot within. Very long-flowering.
'Apricot Beauty' works brilliantly with spring-flowering herbaceous plants, hellebores, Solomon seal, and blue forget-me-nots or cynoglossom.
Our tulip bulbs are the best and biggest we can find, from tried and trusted growers. Don't forget that tulips like to be planted late in October and November with the colder weather, and need a little watering if planted in pots.
This can be gift wrapped in our exclusive hessian sack, with ribbon and a Sarah Raven gift card. You will be able to add this to your basket once you begin the checkout process. To add a gift message to your order, simply fill out the details at the delivery stage of the checkout.

For containers, space bulbs 1-2cm (½-1in) apart if planting in a single layer, give them more room, 2-3cm (1-1½in) if planting in a bulb lasagne. |
Sowing, Seeds, Planting | Plant outdoors October - December. |
Care Tips | Don't plant tulip bulbs until the cold weather has set in – this helps wipe out viral and fungal diseases. Leave the browning foliage on your tulips until every leaf has died right down – this allows the bulb to store more food and increases the chances of good flowering the following year. |
Flowering | April |
Vase Life | Tulips make supreme cut flowers. Strip the bottom leaves, tie the stems in paper to hold the stems ram-rod straight and leave to drink for at least 3 hours – or overnight. This helps keep the stems straight, but tulips do continue to grow after picking so curves may appear. |

Reviewed 26th June 2019 by Caroline I grow Apricot Beauty in a knee high hollow wall. Big impactful flowers that look good with white honesty, forget-me-nots and late narcissi. They also look ok with deep reds. This year's batch from Sarah Raven did not disappoint. I have lifted them and some will be replanted in a pot for next year. |
Excellent cut flowers
Reviewed 9th May 2018 by Rachael Oxbury Great, high quality bulbs which have flowered well in the garden - they are still going strong after 5 weeks! They are excellent as cut flowers with fabulous long, strong stems. A beautiful, soft, delicate colour with huge flower heads. Very impressed. |

Disappointing
Reviewed 28th April 2015 by Chris Mauduit
I bought 15 bulbs of the Apricot Beauty. I kept 7 and sent the remained to my brother-in-law in Harrogate. We both planted them up in November in sizeable pots. Between us just 4 flowered and the others had no buds at all. I can't think that we both got it wrong but on this showing my rating of one star is actually quite generous. Premium size/healthy/quality bulbs
Reviewed 17th November 2014 by Anna Smith What else is there to say....you don't get this quality/value in local garden centers .... And certainly not in 'mainstream' bulb online outlets in my experience. |
Stunning!
Reviewed 11th August 2014 by sophie Gorgeous, tall elegant beauties. These tulips lasted really well outside and looked amazing in our garden for a long time. Unexpectedly the couple I cut for indoors had a lovely spicy, honeyed scent to them |
