This one came out top in our trials, with larger leaves and a better flavour than parsleys.

It is superb raw in salad, scattered over tomatoes or in tabbouleh with couscous. Very hardy and perfectly happy outside all the way through the winter in my Sussex garden.

Please note, illustrated packets are being introduced gradually over the coming months, availability may vary.

Sowing, Seeds, Planting Wash seed in warm water and dry it overnight before sowing. Sow it March-April and/or August-September under cover or direct into the garden. You can speed the germination process up by sowing into a length of guttering under cover and transplanting outside. Plant in a shaded location either in a container or the ground. Keep plants well watered, especially during hot, dry spells in summer and remove flowerheads to extend the cropping life of the plants. Give plants a boost by feeding every few weeks with a balanced liquid fertiliser. Prevent plants from becoming unsightly and encourage new growth, by snipping off any lower shoots that start to turn yellow.
Care Tips Parsley likes plenty of nutrient rich, moist, deep soil Not suitable for acidic soil. In the autumn apply plenty of well rotted manure. This is an ideal herb for containers, and is great on a kitchen windowsill.
Storing This variety of parsley is good for drying. Or store in a glass of water for up to a week.
Harvesting 10-12 weeks from sowing. The leaves will produce for 6 months, if picked regularly. Will crop all year with regular sowing.
Cooking Notes Use in a traditional bouquet garni, and add fresh to salads or use in stews, casseroles and pies.

Germinated well but turned white and died in the ground. This was surprising as I have had good success with these seeds in the past.

This grows very fast, after only a month and a half, mine is already 30cm high and rather bushy, I will start picking and drying leaves soon. All the plugs did well. On the down side, the aphids and caterpillars seem to love it.

Best ever
