Description

I remember seeing a terracotta pot planted with these forty years ago and thinking it was one of the most luxuriously beautiful things I’d ever clapped eyes on. I now grow it for myself every year, 7 or 8 bulbs in a pair of medium-sized terracottas to have on the doorstep and bring inside to show-off when people come round. It needs a nest of sticks to support it, and I cover the soil with moss and then boy-oh-boy, your table is dressed to impress!

This can be gift wrapped in our exclusive hessian sack, with ribbon and a Sarah Raven gift card. You will be able to add this to your basket once you begin the checkout process. To add a gift message to your order, simply fill out the details at the delivery stage of the checkout.

Please note: only items which are showing ‘in stock’ can be gift wrapped.

Tulip petals are all edible. We scatter them over salad and use some petals dipped in tempura batter and served with a spring garden Frito Misto. Tulip 'White Valley' is a favourite for this.

Care Tips

After flowering leave the foliage to die back naturally if you want to reuse the bulbs.
