Description
Our cutting roses were one of my main lockdown pleasures this summer, with this trio out-performing all others in terms of length of flowering and good vase life. We call Aphrodite the Marshmallow – that’s just what it’s like, beautiful in contrast to the single flowers of ‘FYEO’ and fragrant ‘Joie de Vivre’.
This collection contains 1 bare root each of: All rose petals are edible. As you might expect, they have a mild, floral taste and can be used to decorate cakes, puddings or baking. They are also a beautiful, scented addition to jugs of iced cordial or summer cocktails.
Care Tips
Before planting bare root roses, soak roots in a bucket of water for at least 2 hours. Dig a hole that will accommodate the root ball comfortably and, to aid establishment, sprinkle mycorrhizal fungi (Rootgrow) into the base before planting.
