Sow under cover in succession, every 2-3 weeks, in gutters February-September, 3cm (1in) apart for planting out March-October. Direct sow from April, thinly in rows 25cm (10in) apart. Cover lightly with 1.5cm (1/2in) of fine soil. Thin to 5cm (2in).

Coming out joint top in taste and texture (with Scarlet Globe), we loved this long, white radish in our trial last summer and found it perfect for dipping into hummus and guacamole.

Care Tips

Keep well watered to prevent roots from splitting. Protect early and late sowings with cloches or grow in a greenhouse.
