Pelargonium x hortorum 'Black Velvet Violet' F1 (Zonal)
- Evergreen
- Good for Cutting
- Loved by Pollinators
- Perfect for Pots
I love lipstick-red pelargoniums growing simply in a windowbox or series of summer table centre pots in a line — bold, definite and stylish
This is a wonderful compact variety with beautiful foliage as well as flowers, each leaf outlined in a shading of crimson like a crinkled fan. Quick and easy to grow from seed.
Pelargonium flowers of all varieties can be used to decorate puddings, cakes and scattered onto salads. The scented types are also delicious in cordials or tisanes.

Care Tips
Water and feed plants well in summer and deadhead to encourage a second flush of flowers. Lift the plants and pot them up inside before the frost, cutting the top growth back by one third as you do so.
