This delicate yet statuesque hydrangea goes through a wonderful change of colours, starting cream with a deep red stem, deepening to rich pink and finishing a beautiful pewter. I've just put several of these into my new Dutch yard.

Sowing, Seeds, Planting Plant in an area that does not dry out in the summer.
Care Tips Prune very lightly in spring. Just tip the stems back to the highest shooting bud to establish a permanent framework. There is no need to cut down hard. Once established they can be pruned back to between 25-60cm above ground level to a pair of healthy buds creating a lower framework, this should encourage formation of strong upright branches bearing larger flower panicles.
Flowering June - November
Vase Life Float the flowers on the water in a bath overnight to maximise vase life. To dry, hang them upside down for a couple of weeks.
Harvesting Flower production: 6 months.

Beautiful plant - ordered this last September and have planted it in a large container - has been stunning all summer - started a dark cream and is now starting to turn pink (we're now in August). It smells heavenly! and now can't wait to watch it turn dark crimson.

The wins Red hydrangea died due to the heat this summer . It was in a stone pot with all the right compost/ nutrients but I went ou one day and it completely dropped and despite giving it loads of water on my return I couldn’t revive it. 😥
