Salvia patens is a fantastic, Moroccan-blue. An excellent garden plant and cut flower. A stalwart old favourite with no seed-grown flower equalling it in its intensity of blue.

Sowing, Seeds, Planting Sow under cover February-April and plant after last frosts or in August-September, overwintering in a cold frame.
Care Tips Add a good portion of well-rotted manure during the spring, or when planting out. Grows well in a container pot.
Flowering July - September, 10-12 weeks from spring sowing
Vase Life 7-10 days. Sear stem ends in boiling water for 20 seconds.
Harvesting Flower production: 4-5 months.
