Description

We’re always on the lookout for new colour forms of the microphylla salvias as we use them to underplant our roses to keep them almost entirely blackspot and mildew-free. Apart from that, these are some of our longest flowering garden plants at Perch Hill. Along with tulips and dahlias, they’ve become a signature plant of the garden here.

Care Tips

A salvia that needs well drained conditions through winter. Do not prune back in winter, keep current years growth and remove when new shoots appear. Protect young plants from late frosts and mulch annually with well-rotted manure or garden compost.
