One of the very best of the new perennials, which have become so popular with garden designers in the last decade.
This has sculptural and unusual whorled foliage and then tall flower spikes which look good as they're coming out, in full flower and gone over. I have lots of this in the new perennial garden at Perch Hill and love it.

Really nice plants with white upright peaked flower heads. I ordered them in early Spring and as soon as the worst cold had gone I planted them in half shadow/sun. They did very well. |

I planted these in a part-shaded clay bed that has strong sun for a few hours a day. Unfortunately, they didn't grow much at all and I just have no idea why. Reply from the Sarah Raven Team:"Thank you for taking time to review our site. We are sorry to hear that your Veronicatsrum failed to grow. Hopefully now that you have potted them up and they have started growing they will perform well for you, but if we can help you in any way please do contact our customer service team at info@sarahraven.com or by calling 0345 092 0283 and our team will assist you further. beautiful veronicastrum
Reviewed 1st November 2016 by ann millington I came across this plant by accident whilst looking for another tall perennial. I love it. It is elegant and well behaved. It looks good before it flowers. Flowers forever to the good fortune of the Bees, and when the flowers are over it declines gracefully and shows its unusual leaves right into november. I am just about to cut it back now, in early november, just because it is in front of a penstomen that is still in flower ( another great favourite) |
