A very early flowering variety, often flowering for Christmas. Flowers emerge infused with a deep, purple-red tint fading to a pleasant pale pink, before seedpods continue the interest into spring.

Sowing, Seeds, Planting Will tolerate a wide range of conditions, but does best in fertile, rich moist but well-drained soil which is preferably heavy, and neutral or alkaline. Plant in a position out of strong, cold winds in dappled shade.
Care Tips Remove old leaves to help prevent hellebore leaf spot, and deadhead by removing old faded flower stems. Mulch every autumn with leaf mould, chipped bark or other organic matter.
Flowering December - March
Vase Life These are beautiful cut and used as a floating flower in a bowl of water. To get hellebores to last in water, incise one side of the stem from flower to the end of the stem, with the tip of a tiny paring knife.
