No stars.
Sadly this has not grown. The tuber seems to have disintegrated and I've had to throw away the remains in the compost.

These failed to thrive - but not necessarily due to quality of bulbs. I’d try these again

One of the finger like tubers failed to shoot, but this could have been due to my initial planting with what appeared to be the growing tip exposed from the compost. I may have also have kept them too moist. The remaining two soon sprouted once I had buried them about 3cm below the surface and then put on an extraordinary amount of growth. The way tendrils form at the end of the leaves to help them cling to a trellis is amazing. They are now nearly 2m high with a cluster of buds coming into flower. Hopefully I will be able to save the tubers for next year once their cycle is over.

first time growing this, quite slow to get going & first 2 flowers only beginning of July. Am hoping for more but have to wait & see. I know it's very tender so not sure if I'll get it through the winter.

I have always been delighted with everything I have purchased but these Gloriosa bulbs were of a really poor quality. Only one has produced just four leaves and is only six inches high. So disappointed.
