Clematis wilsonii has satin white star-shaped flowers, with incredible scent.

Clematis montana varieties are the classic clematis to train up into trees to tumble down from above your head. They are quick-growing and vigorous, covered in flowers for late spring and early summer.

I have these cascading down from arches in the cutting garden and on a May evening, they will fill the entire garden with perfume.

All in excellent condition when delivered and now growing well.

The above was a gift for my daughter in London who is a new time gardener and looking forward to her future gardening experiences.
Having bought a great variety of vegetables for summer, I was not happy with the Broccoli which sadly I finished up pulling out and destroying, tiny holes covered the leaves causing wilting, I could not find out what they were or how to treat sadly. The rocket which I always grow in my garden and never have any issues, however, my first rocket from Sarah Raven, it's looking sickly and not growing at all well. Perhaps it's the extreme heat wave we have been having here in the SW of France, 45 degreees is not normal temperatures for the vegetables but I have managed to keep up all the watering inolved.
Wondering if anyone else had these issues?
Other than the last two issues, I am more than happy with my produce - thanks everyone -

Smashing plant, good and healthy. Smells wonderful, although we only caught the last of the flowers this season. Has grown really well on its trellis though so am looking forward to next Spring. Very pleased.

Service was brilliant and the plant arrived looking great though rather smaller than I had anticipated. Probably my not reading the description properly! I have had a lot of clematis and I know how to plant them up but within a few days of planting this one, all the leaves had been eaten. I went on watering it and shall continue to do so because it might come up again next spring. Another Wilsonii of mine did just that. But sad for this season and I fear in this case, it might be wishful thinking! It looks rather dead to me.
I feel that if the plant had been a bit bigger, it might have had a better chance but you are the experts, not me! Thank you anyway.

After three years this wonderful clematis has established itself on an old 4-metre high stone wall, and cascades down including through a gap to brighten up both sides and fill the air with a delicious almond/spicy/sweet, irresistible fragrance. Planted at the same time as rambling rose Madame Alfred Carriere, the two have been flowering together over this wonderful old wall from mid/late May through to the end of June and will last another few weeks yet (in Edinburgh). A beautiful planting association, making a show-stopping impact, admired by passers by! Both plants fully live up to the glowing descriptions on the Sarah Raven site, from where it was purchased.
