Sowing, Seeds, Planting | Preferably plant to 15cm (6in)depth in deep, rich well-drained soil, enriched with leaf mould or well-rotted organic matter. If you have moist/boggy soil plant with plenty of grit or try planting the bulbs on their side to prevent moisture being trapped inside the bulb. |
Care Tips | Likes a cool root run. When planting, envelop the bulbs in sharp sand (particularly in heavy soils). Just leave them where they are from one year to the next, or plant them in a pot and sink them in the ground somewhere very prominent in the garden for lifting out of the wet and cold until the following spring. Remove seedheads unless required and cut down stems once foliage dies down. Plants may be affected by lily beetle, so keep your eyes peeled! |
Flowering | August - September |
Vase Life | When cutting, leave enough stem and foliage for photosynthesis and food storage. Strip anthers from the stamens to prevent sticky pollen. |

Reviewed 29th September 2019 by Amanda Healthy bulbs. Protect from slugs as they love this variety. Lovely flower can't wait till next year when they are more established. |
Reviewed 4th August 2019 by Terry excellent quality and service |
Reviewed 31st July 2019 by Jane I already have put what happened to these. |
Reviewed 31st July 2019 by Joanne The bulbs were a good size and grew away strongly. The resulting plants are multi-stemmed and are just about to flower (end of July). I have planted these lilies direct into the ground once they had grown on in a pot, and are healthy plants. |
Reviewed 31st July 2019 by Charmaine Bulbs looked OK, but having followed instructions for planting so carefully I am disappointed in the poor show of flowers- not a happy customer! |
Reviewed 3rd October 2018 by Ian All three bulbs grew well and flowered beautifully, so I have ordered more bulbs from you this Autumn. The packaging was good too. |
Reviewed 3rd October 2018 by Brenda Slow to appear but have flowered and hoping for better next year. |
