More Details

A simple, single anemone for shade or sun in the most perfect unsalted butter creamy-yellow.

Plant a few of these in your garden in the shade under the skirts of trees and shrubs, or out at the front of the border in full sun. They'll grow happily anywhere, increasing gradually from year to year.

Please note: This may look like a bit of twiggy compost when it arrives (see image) but these 'twigs' are the rhizomes. Soak overnight in a bucket of water before planting and they will double in size and start growing more quickly than if planted dry.

I planted them in a pot for safety. The rhizomes looked good and plump. I got several leaves, but only one flower which was pale yellow and slightly smaller than Anemone nemorosa. I shall have to find a special place for it, or it will get lost

The flowers were exquisite and went beautifully with the tulips and wallflowers I ordered. Unfortunately not all germinated which was a shame as those that did were lovely.

Not everyone flowered but I think produced foliage so I am hopeful for next year.
