These three are the alliums I pick most. I love the starry openness of 'Purple Rain', the beautiful and long-lasting pink-mauve flowers of unifolium and of course the ever stalwart, 'Purple Sensation', impossible to beat in flower or seed head. These are my desert-island three.

- 3 or 5 bulbs of Allium jesdianum 'Purple Rain'
- 15 or 30 bulbs of Allium unifolium
- 15 or 30 bulbs of Allium hollandicum 'Purple Sensation'
This potted bulb collection includes:
- 2L pot of 3 bulbs of Allium jesdianum 'Purple Rain'
- 2L pot of 7 bulbs of Allium unifolium
- 2L pot of 5 bulbs of Allium hollandicum 'Purple Sensation'

Allium petals are edible, you can scatter them on salads. We use the more delicate types like cowanii and unifolium most often at Perch Hill.

Care Tips
Removing the foliage once it becomes tatty doesn't appear to affect the bulbs.
